“Task Manager has been Disabled by Your Administrator” Error

error iconIf your seeing the error “Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator” once you try to load task manager then theres a good chance you have been infected by spyware or even a virus. I suggest scanning your pc for viruses, there’s pleanty of free virus scanning software out there like Avast Home Edition, AVG or you can use a online virus scanner like Trend Micro HouseCall.

How to Enable Task Manager Again

Once you’ve scanned your pc for viruses then you can go about enabling task manager again. To do this you must be logged as the Administrator account and follow the steps below…

1) Click  Start and select Run

2) Copy the line below and paste it into run and press enter

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
