How To Calculate Vat Using Excel

You can calculate 17.5% vat in Microsoft Excel by using this formula.

Number  x7 /47

You multiply the number by 7 and divide by 47 to get the vat amount.

You can also calculate the new UK 15% vat rate in Microsoft Excel by using this formula.

Number x3 /23

You multiply the number by 3 and divide by 23 to get the vat amount.

You can calculate 20% vat in Microsoft Excel by using this formula.

Number x1 /6

You multiply the number by 1 and divide by 6 to get the vat amount.

    20% VAT formula is as above, but substitute – number x1/6

    I’ve added the forulma to calculate 20% VAT.
